A la vuelta de Navidad voy a trabajar con mi alumnado un nuevo proyecto de Natural Science relacionado con animales. Vamos a elaborar una enciclopedia animal (Zoopedia) a partir de una ficha técnica descriptiva unificada. 

El material se forma de:
  • Ficha modelo descriptiva en formato .pdf a color con datos generales, características, curiosidades y "English corner". 
  • Ficha modelo descriptiva en formato .pdf en blanco y negro con datos generales, características, curiosidades y "English corner". 
  • Ficha modelo ejemplo visual para orientar al alumnado en su trabajo.
Este registro se puede imprimir directamente para que sea cumplimentado o servir de guía para elaborar en cartulina o formato digital uno personal siguiendo el esquema común.

El material lo dejaré gratuito.

Hola de nuevo a todos/as.

Hoy os traigo un recurso para el área de Science. Este mes estoy trabajando en 3rd grade las distintas capas de la Tierra. Para ello les preparé este Flipbook con todo el vocabulario y los contenidos básicos que deben aprenderse en el inglés como preparación para los ejercicios de evaluación. 

El material incluye:
  • Un enlace para descargar el pdf con 6 páginas a imprimir en A4 o A5. (portada del flipbook, vocabulario básico para trabajar en la Unidad y breves apartados sobre atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere and water cycle con gaps para rellenar)
Os he dejado el vídeo completo para que os hagáis una idea de cómo montarlo. Yo lo he trabajado al final de mi unidad didáctica como ejercicio de repaso y la verdad que les ha encantado.

The following lesson has as an objective to review the three main theories of evolution: Fixism, Lamarckism and Darwinism (Natural Selection). The presentation starts with some definitions of concepts that must have been acquired for now and may be helpful. It continues with a question in order to rise previous knowledge about evolution and how it happened. Then, the three theories are studied with examples and definitions. The one that has more content is Darwinism because the types of selections (stabilising, directional, disruptive and artificial) are shown with graphs. As closure, a small question is made about antibiotic resistance and a fun evaluated activity is proposed in order to evaluate the theories of evolution.

CN03 OA08: Identify natural and artificial sources of light, and classify objects according to these criteria.

CN03 OA09: Investigate through experimentation to explain some characteristics and properties of light, such as traveling in a straight line, capacity to reflect and refract, separation in seven colours, among others.

CN03 OA10: Investigate through experimentation to explain some characteristics and properties of sound, such as traveling in waves and in all directions, reflection, absorption, pitch, volume, among others.


This is a project to be done during all the unit of light and sound. The idea is for students to do experiments and discuss them as a class, to discover some properties of light and sound. They also should search for information in different sources (such as videos, Power Points, their notes, books, etc.), in order to complete the flipbook. The flipbook would be a final project, to be delivered at the end of the unit. 

Especially for young learners, this process needs to be very guided and it is important to give constant feedback to students, to evaluate the learning process. 

An evaluation guideline is included in the flipbook.
