CN03 OA01: Observe and describe what plants need in order to survive, and relate this with the stem, leaves and roots.

CN03 OA03: Observe and describe some changes that plants go through during their life cycle (germination, growth, reproduction, among others).

This assessment is to evaluate how students are learning the main concepts of the unit. It includes parts of a plant and their functions, parts of a flower and their functions, reproduction, germination and pollination, among other topics.

This resource may be used as an assessment, or as a review. In the first part, students must identify and label the main parts of a plant, the second part consists of multiple choice questions, and finally, on the last part, students must cut out and classify food according to the food group to which they belong and nutrients that they contain. 

This is a simpler version of another test I uploaded before.

Este material se puede usar para diversas actividades y objetivos. 
Todos hemos plantado una legumbre en algodón: un poroto, una lenteja.
Les dejo distintas ideas para trabajar con este experimento:
1. Observar las necesidades que tiene una planta para vivir (dejar un vaso al sol y otro sin luz, o uno con agua y otro sin).
2. Observar cómo crece una planta y trabajar la orientación temporal en los alumnos, especialmente de los procesos naturales. (Esta guía)
3. Vivenciar los cuidados que deben tener los seres vivos para que puedan cumplir con su ciclo de vida.

Objective: Understand important concepts from the unit and become familiar with the vocabulary.

The idea is to give this glossary to students at the beginning of the unit, read it with them and explain some concepts. Also, as you move forward with the content, you cover the words from the glossary again. 

CN03 OA04: Describe the importance of plants for living things, human beings and for the environment (such as medicine, food, oxygen, ornaments, among others) purposing and communicating possible actions to protect them.

This resource can be used either as a formative or summative assessment. It is to be done once students have discussed and studied how plants contribute to our lives, and why it is important to protect them. 
There are content questions and also reflection or "action taking" questions. 

Objective: Understand plants classification according to the way on which they reproduce. 

The idea of this concept web is to organize plants according to the presence or absence of seeds, and presence or absence of flower, for students to understand that there are different types of plants, which reproduce in different ways. This worksheet is for students to paste it on their Science notebook or put it in their Science folder, so they can use it to study.

¡Plantemos un poroto!

Hice esta plantilla muy básica y simple para los niños de primero básico, la idea es que preparen el experimento o proyecto de plantar el poroto en esta ficha.

Como he dicho en publicaciones anteriores es más difícil hacer cosas para alumnos que aún no leen, aquí solo deben dibujar  (algodón, vaso plástico y poroto, el dibujo de su experimento)

Para partir se les recuerda lo que hicieron con el poroto:

¿A quién le creció la planta del poroto? ¿Qué creció primero? ¿Qué creció después? ¿Alguien sabe cómo se forma una planta? Se les muestra proyectada (también puede ser dibujada) una imagen de las partes de la plata, pero en donde en conjunto vamos a completar como se llaman.

Se les entrega esta guía en la que solo tiene las raíces dibujadas, como tallo se pondrá un palo de helado y luego los niños deben pegar las hojas y la flor en el lugar correspondiente (se recomienda que traigan previamente de la casa). Por ultimo deben dibujar el fruto que ellos quieran.
