CN03 OA01: Observe and describe what plants need in order to survive, and relate this with the stem, leaves and roots.

CN03 OA03: Observe and describe some changes that plants go through during their life cycle (germination, growth, reproduction, among others).

This assessment is to evaluate how students are learning the main concepts of the unit. It includes parts of a plant and their functions, parts of a flower and their functions, reproduction, germination and pollination, among other topics.

Objective: Understand plants classification according to the way on which they reproduce. 

The idea of this concept web is to organize plants according to the presence or absence of seeds, and presence or absence of flower, for students to understand that there are different types of plants, which reproduce in different ways. This worksheet is for students to paste it on their Science notebook or put it in their Science folder, so they can use it to study.

Con este jardín los estudiantes podrán conocer las palabras en inglés y decorar su jardín, con el objetivo de que la empiecen a utilizar en su día a día o en las clases de inglés.

This craft activity relates question words with pictures. The students have to cut the pictures and paste them in the petals. Then, they have to write the 5wh in the correct petal. You can use the flowers to decorate the classroom.

Esta actividad busca que los/as estudiantes ejerciten los commands (instrucciones en inglés) a través de un recurso interactivo y entretenido que les permita tener un aprendizaje significativo sin ejercicios tradicionales. 

Proyecto de ciencias en donde nuestros alumnos aprenderán; no solo las partes de la flor, si no también a diseccionar la misma, dividiendo en dos partes medulares masculinos y femeninos. Para el cierre de esta clase puedes completar con la PPT "Seeds and Plants Jeopardy Game" un juego de conocimientos.

Durante esta clase los niños aprenderán, entenderán y practicaran el proceso de crecimiento de las plantas así como; las partes de estas. Al final de la presentación encontrarán un quiz en donde los niños reforzaran los aprendido a través de un pequeño juego.

Make sure you make them go outside to explore living and non living things! They love to enjoy the fresh air and learn at the same time.

This resource may be used as an assessment, or as a review. In the first part, students must identify the parts of a plant and the parts of a flower, the second part consists of multiple choice questions, and finally, on the last part, students must classify food according to the food group to which they belong and nutrients that they contain. On this last part, there might be some foods that could fit more than one space. I counted all of them as correct.

I will also upload a simpler version of this assessment, which you may want to use for your whole class, or you could use it for students with special need (if you have any in your class).
