This class will be very entertaining as students will learn to identify the characters in a story and where the story takes place through the book "Turtle in Trouble" by Bukku. After that, they will engage in a lovely project where they will identify the objective of the class.

This book report template is my favorite for students to complete.
It includes space to draw the cover, to identify the author's and illustrator's name, a space to identify and describe characters and the setting of the story. Also, a space to write down the sequence of events in the story, a little chart for students to evaluate the book and to write their favorite event.

This presentation explains how to live in harmony at home, by following rules and setting boundaries to live in peace and harmony with your loved ones. It includes a video as well as an activity sheet to be done with the students.

This Power Point was created to introduce the concept of Story Plot parts with 6th grade students.

The idea is that, before getting to know each specific part, they remember the main story elements they have learned before such as setting, characters, beginning, middle and end.

At the end, they watch a short film and they have to first; identify the elements we learned in this specific story and then, write their own interpretation of the story (including the elements they planned before).

Planning my first  book is a very adjustable worksheet. Younger students can plan their fist book by using only pictures, while older students can use drawings and writing. The planning includes the characters, settings and the sequence of the book: beginning, middle and end. I'm having my students plan their fist book in pairs, so they can have some team work! And of course this requires a lot of monitoring from the teacher.
The idea is that after the planning, they can start creating their books.

There is a Fly Guy in my soup! By Tedd Arnold
I really like these book series. They are easy to follow and the pictures are beautiful. This worksheet is about the time Fly Guy jumped into a lady's soup.
First, I focused on the story elements. The students will have to identify: title, author, characters and setting. They will also have to infer the answer to the question nº5: Why do you think Fly Guy didn't have dinner with the family?
Finally, they will have to identify the effect of certain actions.
