This Power Point was created to introduce the concept of Story Plot parts with 6th grade students.

The idea is that, before getting to know each specific part, they remember the main story elements they have learned before such as setting, characters, beginning, middle and end.

At the end, they watch a short film and they have to first; identify the elements we learned in this specific story and then, write their own interpretation of the story (including the elements they planned before).

Something that I use in reading comprehension. Students should roll a die and answer. You can adapt it depending on the ability you are focusing on.

This test is about giraffes and birds.
The students read and identify the story elements. Then, they have to compare and contrast both animals in a venn diagram.
Finally, you can decide asking them to write sentences about animals.

When reading, students sometimes have a hard time organizing their ideas about the novel theiy're reading.
With this chart from Pinterest, is so much easier to organize the principal story elements, you can use it to study the novel or even to evaluate it. 

This is a Power Point about the environment, the elements that you can find on it and how we can take care/destroy it with our actions.

To build the part about actions to take care of the environment, I used some pictures that I found on Nelson International Science Book Student Book 2 by Anthony Russell.

This is a Power Point about Travel Brochures.

The idea is that students get familiarized with the definition and elements they must include in order to reach their advertising aim.

Also, they have to choose a place, think about that place by answering some questions and then finally, write their own travel brochure.

Objective: Understand the relation between cause and effect.

This activity consists in matching each cause with its corresponding effect, in a visual way, so students can understand the connection between these two elements.

This is a reading comprehension you can either use as a worksheet or a test.
It is about animals and their different colors. The students should be able to categorize and classify the information.
They also have  to answer some questions about story elements.
