INSTRUCTIONS: 

Print, cut out and use these cards to review the alphabet, associating the images with the letters with each other, for greater recognition. 

Carry out these activities with a clothes hanger as a marker, as well as decorate them in their black and white version, using different techniques, among other activities. 

We suggest printing this product on thick paper or cardboard, for better use.

Match and Cover is a fun way to work phonetic awareness. Kids have to identify each picture's beginning sound and cover it with according to the letter's color code. You can use anything to do it! Blocks, buttons, play dough balls, pom poms, etc. 

This exit ticket is given to the students at the beginning of the first lesson of plants. They complete the 2 first columns with what they know and what they would like to learn about plants,  before starting the lesson, and after discussing about the importance of plants and introducing their structure and functions of each part, students complete the last column with one new thing they learnt about plants during that lesson. Then, they give it to the teacher, so he/she can check how much students knew before the class and how they are learning, to set a "start point".

Use this format to write your own statements! You can copy the slides according to the statements you are planning to write.

These resource includes 7 activities for the students to think and share what is science, what is to do science and what is a scientist.

This resource was created for the whole group to work in the same file. It is a good opportunity for the teacher to also work values while doing the activity, like respecting each others job. But you can do a copy for each one of the students.

Just another way to play "Guess Who". I use it at the beginning of a class when I want to review vocabulary. Each question mark has a description. The students have to guess the character. This one is about animals. It can be used for both subjects: English and Science. 

You can print and laminate these speaking cards. I generally use them at the beginning of the year. Especially if there is a new student in the class. You can give them a separate sheet of paper to write the answers (or use a mini whiteboard). The students can introduce eachother to the class.

 We are all familiar with how important is for students to develop a sense of metacognition and being aware of their learning process.
TThis chart is very helpful to gather information about the student knowledge about a certain topic, specially at the beginning of studying a new unit.
How to use:
-Print a copy for each student.
-At the beginning of the unit only complete the K and W column: what they know about the new topic and what they wonder.
-After they studied the topic, they can complete the L column of what they'd learned.

This routine has a lot of variations, but this template is from Pinterest. 

Objective: Understand important concepts from the unit and become familiar with the vocabulary.

The idea is to give this glossary to students at the beginning of the unit, read it with them and explain some concepts. Also, as you move forward with the content, you cover the words from the glossary again. 

Here I leave you an assessment about Vertebrate and Invertebrate Animals. You can choose to make it formal or informal, at the beginning or end of the unit.
