These resource includes 7 activities for the students to think and share what is science, what is to do science and what is a scientist.

This resource was created for the whole group to work in the same file. It is a good opportunity for the teacher to also work values while doing the activity, like respecting each others job. But you can do a copy for each one of the students.

Two worksheets you can use when introducing weather characteristics and instruments. First, the students have to unscramble the words. Second, they have to read and match each picture with a definition.

I made this to introduce vertebrate and invertebrate animals. First, I compare an insect and a mammal (try to elicit the answer). Then, I continue by asking about bones. Do all animals have bones? They'll see some examples. You may try asking for more.

This worksheet is to introduce the main organs from the digestive system. The students have to label the picture with the words from the word bank. You can also project a picture of a body on the board and print organs. Then, ask your students to put them in the correct place.

This exit ticket is given to the students at the beginning of the first lesson of plants. They complete the 2 first columns with what they know and what they would like to learn about plants,  before starting the lesson, and after discussing about the importance of plants and introducing their structure and functions of each part, students complete the last column with one new thing they learnt about plants during that lesson. Then, they give it to the teacher, so he/she can check how much students knew before the class and how they are learning, to set a "start point".

In this lesson plan, you will find EVERYTHING you need to work the animal and plant cells with your students. 

It is designed for 6 to 7 hours of class (1 hour = 45 min).

This lesson is designed for students to take notes in an interactive notebook that they paste into their notebooks. However, in the materials, you will find a digital study guide in case you prefer your students to work this way. 

All the materials you need are included in this lesson. If you use three slides from the teacher's presentation in the introduction, you will find them in the lesson plan. However, each of these materials is also attached as a file in case you find it more convenient to use them with your students. 

Objective: Become familiar with the vocabulary of the unit. 

This worksheet can be a "warm up" to begin the unit of light and sound, since there are many words that children have never heard, and they will naturally ask "What is the meaning of...?" so it is a good way to introduce the vocabulary of the unit, check how much the students know about it and start discussing some of the concepts.

It can also be used at the end of the unit, as a "challenge" or competition, like for example, who can find more than 15 words in less than 7 minutes.
