CN03 OA05: Explain the importance of using resources in a responsible way, purposing actions to reuse, reduce and recycle.

This is NOT an assessed activity. It is a "quiz" like the ones you find in social media or magazines, on which you get a score according to the answers you give. In this case, the score they get will tell students how conscious they are about environmental care, and it will encourage them to think about concrete actions they can take to make our planet a better place to live. 
At the end, the idea is for them to make a reflection and get committed with environmental care. Last year, it was used in 3rd grade, and students really liked it. They came up with really good reflections.

Here I will show you how to make a guitar using waste material.  I will give you an idea, but if you choose to use other materials it doesn´t matter!! Also you can decorate it with other things such as lids, feathers, markers, etc.

In this activity I will show you how you can a do a maraca using waste material. It is important to learn from a young age how to reuse some materials what you have at home.
Here I decorate mine using papers, but you can also use many other things.

It´s your time to create the maraca and also use it when you hear some music!!

I made this for my classroom to use as visual aid for colors vocabulary. You can also use them as flash cards or print them double to make a memory game! I like to print them and laminate them so I can reuse them again. 

This worksheet is a very simple way to work measurement. All you need is to print the worksheet, the cards, and give your students some measurement unit (I laminated the cards to reuse them many times). We use connecting cubes as a measurement unit, but you can use paper clips, legos, little erasers, etc. They have to use the measurement unit to measure the picture on the card, then trace the word and write the number of units the picture measured. My students had a great time doing this activity and it helped them a lot to practice measurement!

This resource includes 98 flash cards of addition with one digit addends. They can be used on centers or to play the scoot game.

I recommend to laminate them so they can be reused.

These number puzzles are great for working number order and sequence. My preschoolers were struggling a lot with the number sequence and this puzzles were a fun way to practice it. In this document you will find puzzles with numbers up to 5 and others with numbers up to 10. I printed them, laminated them, cut and ready to reuse as many times as you want!

Escribir reseñas de un libro es una muy buena herramienta para la escritura espontánea y de opinión. En general a los niños les gusta mucho comentar lo que piensan sobre las cosas, por lo que hacerles escribir su opinión de algo que les interese es una excelente idea para potenciar la escritura, que a muchos les cuesta tomarle el gusto. 
Esta guía de trabajo tiene como objetivo ser una "plantilla" para estructurar una reseña de libro. Es muy guiada y fácil de hacer. Yo dejé que mis niños escogieran el libro que quisieran y luego completaran su reseña. Se puede usar con diferentes rangos de edades según la profundidad que queremos que nuestros alumnos la utilicen. ¡Espero que les sirva!
