CN02 OA13: Measure some weather characteristics by building or using instruments such as wind vane, rain gauge and thermometer. 

Before doing this worksheet, it is suggested that, in a previous class, students can build a rain gauge (you can find a video that explains how to make a rain gauge in the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwo2XGBABpY ), so students can really experience the use of this instrument. They really enjoy doing it, and they enjoy even more when they use it and learn how much rain fell during a day or during a week.

On this worksheet, students need to look at the weather, measure some of its characteristics and record it on the worksheet.

Es muy útil para el estudio, también para hacer un cierre de la clase haciendo y leyendo la guía en conjunto.

I use this after teaching weather vocabulary. The students should know: weather instruments, clothes they can wear for each weather and activities they can perform depending on the weather. 
I ask them to keep a track of the weather during a week then, they should be able to prepare a weather report and present it to the class. 

This is all about weather instruments. I focused on: pluviometer, weather vane and thermometer. The students have to cut and paste pictures and make their own "Meteorologist Briefcase". They can also try making their own weather instruments (at least the pluviometer and weather vane).
This activity can be related to the "Weather Report" activity.

Diseñado para hablar de instrumentos meteorológicos. Encontrarás imágenes y definiciones de un: termómetro, veleta y pluviómetro. 
Los alumnos deben pegar las imágenes con las definiciones que correspondan.
Otra alternativa es que creen sus propios instrumentos (al menos el pluviómetro y veleta).

Este reporte es parte de un proyecto de unidad. En esta guía deben describir el tiempo durante una semana. Tienen que identificar la temperatura, la ropa que pueden vestir, actividades que pueden realizar, etc. Al final de este trabajo, los alumnos deben ser capaces de grabar un video en el que entreguen un reporte del tiempo utilizando vocabulario de la unidad.

This is a worksheet to use in Science class. Students have to match the measurement instrument with the weather element. It also, has a table to register the weather for an entire week in order to observe what type of weather was more frequent.

Esta guía incluye le trabajo de dos estaciones distintas donde los grupos de alumnos deberán realizar distintas actividades y preguntas para estudiar los efectos de la fuerza. La primera estación incluye una experiencia para observar el efecto de la deformación de los objetos y la segunda estación trabaja el efecto de la aceleración y movimiento. También incluye una pauta de autoevaluación grupal para cada estación. Puedes usarla como evaluación o como una actividad de clases.

¿Qué materiales necesitarás para desarrollarla?
Estación 1:
-Latas de bebida
-vasos plásticos
-Esponjas de cocina
-Hojas de papel

Estación 2:
-Cartulina grande donde esté marcada dos línea con plumón o masking tape en los dos extremos de la cartulina.
-Un cronómetro (puede ser celular)
-Una bolita de vidrio o pelota pequeña. 

Una entretenida demostración experimental para estudiar los tipos de fuerzas. A través de esta actividad se podrá estudiar la fuerza de roce o fricción, de gravedad y magnética. Los alumnos deberán tener una copia del tríptico y el profesor pedirá ayuda a los alumnos para realizar  cada actividad. Antes de cada actividad, los alumnos deberán seleccionar su hipótesis y al realizar el experimento deberán dejar registro de los resultados para terminar verificando su hipótesis.

Parte 1: Fuerza de roce:
-Necesitas: un auto de juguete, un rectángulo de papel corrugado, un rectángulo de papel liso y un rectángulo de papel lija. Importante que los 3 cartones sean del mismo tamaño para mantener esa variable. Una huincha de medir.

Parte 2: Fuerza de gravedad:
-Necesitas: un resorte, un vaso plástico, bolitas de vidrio o plástico, una huincha de medir o regla grande.

Parte 3: Fuerza magnética:
-Necesitas: un imán, una regla plástica, una regla metálica, un clip metálico y un forro de cuaderno.
