There is a Fly Guy in my soup! By Tedd Arnold
I really like these book series. They are easy to follow and the pictures are beautiful. This worksheet is about the time Fly Guy jumped into a lady's soup.
First, I focused on the story elements. The students will have to identify: title, author, characters and setting. They will also have to infer the answer to the question nº5: Why do you think Fly Guy didn't have dinner with the family?
Finally, they will have to identify the effect of certain actions.

With this game "I have - Who has" students can practice time conversion (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks).
Someone will start reading his/card and ask "Who has...?". The person who has the answer to that problem will then read “I Have , Who Has _“, and then it will continue until all the cards have been read.

Use these slides to activate 'Starbucks Mode' in your classroom. Project these slides on your board to display the expectations for 'Starbucks Mode.' Additionally, you'll find a student log for 'Starbucks Mode.' Students will jot down their short-term goal for what they would like to accomplish during Starbucks time. When the time is up, they will record what they achieved. This helps students know where they left off and where to continue working next time!

This is a way to engage in independent work, fostering independence and motivation among students. It's enjoyable to imagine that we are in a coffee shop. You can tailor it to the needs of your school and, most importantly, your students.

Sending you a sweet hug,
Kris Mega

Great game to play with big groups!
The teacher starts the game with card nº 1 (teacher card) and also has the teacher guide card in her hand to make sure nobody skips turns or words.
The teacher give out the rest of the cards to the students (for this game I prepared cards for 15 students, you can add more), and start the game by saying: "I have bee, who has t - r - ee ?".
The students that has tree answers: "I have tree, who has r - ea - d?". And so it goes until the last card, that has the word "b - ee" (that is the word of the teacher card).
The first time you play will probably be a mess, but then student will get used to the game and they will love it! Don't give up!
