Estimados colegas,

Noemiss :)

The best game to play with the entire classroom and practice different skills:
-Reading numbers and operations.
-Pronunciation.
-Menthal math
-Addition with one digit addens.
-Attention and concentration.

Suggestions:
Print out the “I Have, Who Has” flashcards on card stock or paste the sheet on construction paper, cut each card and laminate them so they will last for many years to come.

How to play the game?:
Distribute the cards randomly to your students (some students may get more than one card)
Select a student to begin by reading their card aloud (example: I have 14. Who has 3+4?)
The student who has the card with the correct answer to the previous student’s
“Who Has...” question reads their card aloud (example: I have 7. Who has 10+5?) And so on.
Students must listen for their turn and try not to break the chain.
When the chain circles around to the first student, the game is over.

Practice the game once with your students so they understand how the game works, then see if they can “beat the timer.” Set a timer for 2 minutes, 5 minutes, or whatever. Challenge them to finish the game before the timer goes off.

This Genially is a great resource for your "Then and now: How have the native peoples of Chile changed" unit.
Learning Goal: To study the lifestyles of the people of the Northern Zone and Rapa Nui.

The resource you'll get has information on nomads and sedentary people, and of the Chango, Aymara, and Rapa Nui peoples. In the end, it has a super fun dress-up game your kids will love!

This resource greatly works with the book: 2 primary Social Sciences - Savia

This project is to be completed during all the unit of Solar System.
You might want to complement it with videos and Power Points, or any other source of information, because the idea is for students to take notes of thing that catch their attention about the Sun and Planets, and in the end they just colour and "build" the fact fan. If you want students to research, this is also a perfect project to get students started on it, but it needs to be really guided and give them the sources of information, to make sure they are reliable.
My 3rd graders really enjoyed this project, they learnt to take notes and they also acquired more autonomy.

They way I did it, was that I gave them 2 options: The fact fan (this project) and also a mobile (that is also uploaded) and they chose the one they wanted to do. Both booklets are organized in such a way that students have to do exactly the same thing in both, but the "format" of the final project changes. Students were also very enthusiastic about having the option to choose their final project.

Students get to play to become a teacher!
I love this resource for the students, usually I would thell them is their turn to correct some exercises.
The idea is they have to look carefully at each addition, some of them are correct and some are not.
If the addition fact is correct they have to circle with red the sum and if it's incorrect they have to cross with blue the sum.

Only for this month, you can get it for 10 profe coins!

This project about women who changed the world is ideal to work with your students during women's history month in a creative, different way.
Students will do a little research to learn why some women are important. Later, they will choose a woman to do a more detailed investigation, a mosaic and a presentation.
  • Research: it is an excellent opportunity to work with students on the proper use of web pages, how to know which web page is more appropriate, and how to choose the most relevant information.
  • Mosaic: it develops and explores creativity. It is also a way evaluate the assimilation of the content in a very different way.
  • Presentation: it works communication skills.
  • And of course, we continue to raise awareness in our students of the importance of SDG5 (Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender equality).
For the purchase of this resource, you receive as a gift the Posters women who changed the world

I found this idea on Pinterest.
We do this activity during the invertebrates unit. The students get the worksheet and have some free time to go around the school looking for these insects.
Try asking them some characteristics of the insects they found (n° of legs, wings, antennae, etc.)

On the first day of class, I have three objectives:

  1. To make my students feel accepted.
  2. To make my students feel loved.
  3. To have them enjoy themselves.

If I achieve this, they'll want to come back to study the next day. On the first day, don't worry about procedures, rules, or academics. You'll have plenty of time for that. But you only have one chance to make the first impression that your students will have of you.

This manual includes:
  • Ideas on how to turn the first day of class into a party for your students and thereby achieve these objectives.
  • An editable Canva template for creating an invitation for your students.
  • 2 activities to get to know the teacher.
  • 10 activities for students to get to know each other, and for you to start getting to know them a bit.

Activities:
  • Word search: find your classmates' names.
  • My object: select an object, take a photo, and describe why it's important to you.
  • My cubicle: decorate your cubicle with things that are meaningful to you.
  • Compliments hallway: walk through your classmates' cubicles and leave them a compliment, a quality, or something good you remember about them.
  • Create a calligram.
  • Star of truth: write an assertion about yourself in each corner of a star. Three must be true, and two false.
  • Star of truth: write five assertions about yourself, but you can only use a number or a word. Your classmates will have to guess what you mean with that information by asking you questions.
  • Unconventional puzzle.
  • My 10.
  • Friendship diagram.

The students' activities are available in Google Slide format if you want to use them that way, and in PowerPoint format for printing. If you prefer printed activities, you can use the Google Slide presentation as a guiding presentation for your students.

Some activities may need to be modified or adapted by the teacher.
