Hello, hello!

Greetings everyone! I'm delighted to be here, and I'd like to share the Mafia game, some of you may know it as Werewolves or by another name. In the Mafia game, participants take on secret roles such as the police, the mafia, the doctor, the clown, and the citizen.

The police's task is to identify mafia members during the night.
The mafia aims to eliminate citizens.
The doctor has the ability to protect one player each night.
On the other hand, the clown seeks to be eliminated without revealing their identity, acting unpredictably.
The citizens, in turn, strive to uncover mafia members during daytime discussions and vote to eliminate them, ultimately aiming to keep the city alive or unveil all mafia members.

Success depends on being clever, working together, and reading others' subtle cues. Have fun and let excitement be your guide in this thrilling game with your students!

Best and a big hug,
Kris Mega

cn03oa06:  Classify food, identify their effects over human health and purpose good eating habits for a healthy lifestyle.
cn03oa07: Purpose and communicate good hygienic practices when manipulating food, in order to prevent diseases.

Once students have learnt about different food groups, nutrients and their functions in the human body, his resource can be used either as a review workshTeet, or as an assessment, depending on what the teacher wants to do.

It includes questions of True or False (false statements have to be replaced by a true statement), multiple choice questions and a part on which students have to connect what they have learnt with their real life, since they need to look in their house to find different types of food, and classify them according to the food group they belong to, or nutrients they contain.

This resource may be used as an assessment, or as a review. In the first part, students must identify the parts of a plant and the parts of a flower, the second part consists of multiple choice questions, and finally, on the last part, students must classify food according to the food group to which they belong and nutrients that they contain. On this last part, there might be some foods that could fit more than one space. I counted all of them as correct.

I will also upload a simpler version of this assessment, which you may want to use for your whole class, or you could use it for students with special need (if you have any in your class).

CN03 OA06:  Classify food, identify their effects over human health and purpose good eating habits for a healthy lifestyle.
CN03 OA07: Purpose and communicate good hygienic practices when manipulating food, in order to prevent diseases.

On this assessment, students have to purpose and communicate different ways of having a healthy lifestyle. The idea is for them to do a poster, and the best one from the class (it can be voted by students) could be chosen to be placed in the school cafeteria, for example.

This is a guided activity, it explains step by step how to do the poster and what students are required to include. Then, at the end there is a "draft page", on which they have to make a draft of their poster, and finally they need to use that draft to do the final one. This year the students were given the chance to choose if they would rather do it "hand made", on a block paper, or in computer.

If students have never done a poster, it is important to show them examples of posters and advertisements before doing this activity. Have them observe the structure, the title, read different slogans, etc. Especially with younger learners, this activity needs to be guided step by step.

An evaluation guideline for this activity will be uploaded as a different document.

The learning objective is to explain, based on evidence, that the classification of the diversity of organisms is built over time based on taxonomic criteria that allow them to be organised into groups and subgroups, identifying their kinship relationships with common ancestors.
This lesson contains one activity in the beginning to rise previous knowledge about how organisms are classified. Afterwards, concepts like Taxonomy, Biodiversity and Classification are defined in order to understand how they are classified and the objective if this. The structure of Scientific Names is presented with some examples. Then, the classification is explained (Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, etc.) with the human example. Finally, a closure activity is presented in order to evaluate which taxonomies are more related in order to compare the criteria.
