Daily Routine's are an excellent moment to build confidence and let our students express themselves a 100% in English. This is why I always use Mind Maps and choose one of my students (the "mini teacher") to guide the routine.
In this routine students have to present themselves, say how old they are, how's the weather like (includes the vocabulary words sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, stormy, snowy and windy) and an invitation to sing the Month's of the Year song.
I did this resource to evaluate in a fun way two different characteristics of animals learned in class. I personally did it in first grade and it worked nicely. They had lots of fun and they got great grades!
This banner is the perfect craft for students to learn the months of the year. It comes in black and white so they can color it, cut it, make the holes and then create the banner that they can keep at their bedrooms or in the classroom. It is created for the Chilean calendar.
This is a PPT, which has a game. Students are going to see the picture of an animal, them a picture of what the animal eat, so depending on that they have to say whether if the animal is carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. I recommend you doing it as a review at the end of the unit.

It is very helpful to the students when the don’t know how to say or write a number in English. I am uploading two versions of it. One with the numbers written and the other with the space to fill with your own writing. Numbers in English bulletin

Sencillo pero altamente efectivo. No es tan fácil encontrar material que involucre el uso de la letra cursiva. Lo que mas me agradó es que puede utilizarse como "flash cards" o separarlo y usarlo como memorama.
For the units of fairy tales in second grade, a good idea is to write a letter to the author of one of your favourite fairy tales. The students need to brainstorm and plan first, then write it, and at the end they can assess themselves.
This activity can be used as enrichment or to expand the topic! Gifted Students might enjoy it!
