📖 ¡Recursos para celebrar el Día de los Trabajadores! 👩‍🏫 👨‍🔧 

Daily Routine's are an excellent moment to build confidence and let our students express themselves a 100% in English. This is why I always use Mind Maps and choose one of my students (the "mini teacher") to guide the routine. 

In this routine students have to present themselves, say how old they are, how's the weather like (includes the vocabulary words sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, stormy, snowy and windy) and an invitation to sing the Month's of the Year song.

The five-finger rule is a strategy from a student agency to help early reader students choose a personal reading with the perfect difficulty for each one independently.

Tip: Paste this poster in the corner of the classroom library so that they can support themselves in the choice

Pick a Book: Choose one from your classroom library.

Open a Page: Flip to any random page.

Start Reading: Read word by word.

Count: Raise a finger for each word you don't know or can't say.

Check: At the end of the paragraph, see how many fingers you have up.

Decide: Use your finger count to see if this book is a good fit.

I did this resource to evaluate in a fun way two different characteristics of animals learned in class. I personally did it in first grade and it worked nicely. They had lots of fun and they got great grades!

This banner is the perfect craft for students to learn the months of the year. It comes in black and white so they can color it, cut it, make the holes and then create the banner that they can keep at their bedrooms or in the classroom. It is created for the Chilean calendar.

This is a PPT, which has a game. Students are going to see the picture of an animal, them a picture of what the animal eat, so depending on that they have to say whether if the animal is carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. I recommend you doing it as a review at the end of the unit. 

Este recurso está basado en el vocabulario de la unidad 1 de los contenidos de inglés del mineduc (unit 1 - at school!).
En esta actividad, se deberá comenzando recortando y pegando la segunda página de la guía, trabajando el vocabulario y pintando los objetos.
Una vez terminado eso, se pinta recorta la primera hoja. Al momento de pegarla, sólo se debe colocar pegamento en la parte de arriba (o corchetearla) para así crear el efecto de que la mochila se cierra y abre.

* La actividad toma al rededor de 2-3 clases, dependiendo de cómo trabaja el curso.

Great craft to do with students about seasons and which months each season covers here in our county. I used it in Science but you can use it as well in English.
The materials you'll need are:
-scissors
-glue
-color pencils/markers/crayons
-golden pin to put both wheels together in the middle and make them spin.
