This Power Point is about Total Physical Response.

TPR is an approach to teaching language based on the idea that if you have to do something physical in response to language, then learning is more meaningful, and you also learn faster. This helps to memorize vocabulary in an easier and faster way.

Here there are some of the basic tpr movements that I commonly use with my prekinder and kinder students. They totally love them!
One step forward is to use them for daily routines without the ppt. For example: Clap your hands if you are a girl, close your eyes if you finish your work, etc.

Good luck!

This Power Point is the second part of Total Physical Response routines. This are more elaborated responses and associated to each one of the body parts.

Twister Template
I took this idea from https://tekhnologic.wordpress.com/
I use it with synonyms, but you can try with different vocabulary. Students spin the wheel and click on the corresponding color/number. Then, they have to read the word and touch or step on the synonym that is already pasted on the floor.

Naming and Telling Part
I took this idea from http://thefirstgradefairytales.blogspot.com/
It really motivates students to find their match! It is good, since they can move around the classroom and try different options. Don't miss the chance to remind them that every sentence begins with a capital letter and finishes with a period.

This PPT shows examples of "Naming and Telling Part". You can elicit body parts vocabulary and ask students to make more sentences. You will also find a game: students should read the phrase, run and touch the correct answer. Feel free to add more pictures.
If you have problems downloading, send me a message and I can send you the file.

Another worksheet you can use to practise naming and telling part. The students have to read the sentences and underline the N&T using different colors. I wrote short sentences related to animals.
It would be good to start with a tpr activity to remind them about this topic:
touch your head if I say a naming part or touch your knees if I say a telling part.

Have a nice day!

Esta actividad tiene como objetivo reforzar vocabulario relacionado con los colores, donde los niños pueden escribir el vocabulario siguiendo el modelo, y por supuesto  pintar con el color correspondiente, como sugerencia puedes complementar esta actividad con videos, bailes, canciones que involucren mucho TPR, listen and repeat y mucho entusiasmo, ya que de simples actividades puedes obtener grandes resultados y/o hermosas experiencias con tus niños. Éxito!
