I saw this craft and I loved it! We did it in classes and my students liked it too. I prepared a pdf with the materials you'll need and some skulls you can use to make the craft. If you want, you can try labelling the main bones of the body.

I found it on Pinterest. It belongs to https://masandpas.com/fun-with-phonics-magnetic-fishing-game/
This fishing game is something like "La pesca milagrosa". The students need to fish the pictures with a wooden (or pencil) rod, a magnet and a paperclip. I did it with synonyms/antonyms, but you can adapt it to phonics, proper/common nouns, etc,
I added some fish shapes that I downloaded from https://onelittleproject.com/fish-outlines/
The border belongs to https://pageborders.org/download/fish-border/#terms

This worksheet is a very simple way to work measurement. All you need is to print the worksheet, the cards, and give your students some measurement unit (I laminated the cards to reuse them many times). We use connecting cubes as a measurement unit, but you can use paper clips, legos, little erasers, etc. They have to use the measurement unit to measure the picture on the card, then trace the word and write the number of units the picture measured. My students had a great time doing this activity and it helped them a lot to practice measurement!

On the first day of class, I have three objectives:

  1. To make my students feel accepted.
  2. To make my students feel loved.
  3. To have them enjoy themselves.

If I achieve this, they'll want to come back to study the next day. On the first day, don't worry about procedures, rules, or academics. You'll have plenty of time for that. But you only have one chance to make the first impression that your students will have of you.

This manual includes:
  • Ideas on how to turn the first day of class into a party for your students and thereby achieve these objectives.
  • An editable Canva template for creating an invitation for your students.
  • 2 activities to get to know the teacher.
  • 10 activities for students to get to know each other, and for you to start getting to know them a bit.

Activities:
  • Word search: find your classmates' names.
  • My object: select an object, take a photo, and describe why it's important to you.
  • My cubicle: decorate your cubicle with things that are meaningful to you.
  • Compliments hallway: walk through your classmates' cubicles and leave them a compliment, a quality, or something good you remember about them.
  • Create a calligram.
  • Star of truth: write an assertion about yourself in each corner of a star. Three must be true, and two false.
  • Star of truth: write five assertions about yourself, but you can only use a number or a word. Your classmates will have to guess what you mean with that information by asking you questions.
  • Unconventional puzzle.
  • My 10.
  • Friendship diagram.

The students' activities are available in Google Slide format if you want to use them that way, and in PowerPoint format for printing. If you prefer printed activities, you can use the Google Slide presentation as a guiding presentation for your students.

Some activities may need to be modified or adapted by the teacher.

Hello, hello!

This is a class about astrology, and you don't need to be an expert or believe in astrology, nor do you have to like it. It's not about teaching your students to read tarot cards; it's simply a topic that you can explore together and work on language skills through video, reading, and some comprehension questions. Enjoy learning about the characteristics of each energy surrounding the zodiac signs and discuss whether they believe these traits apply to them or if they think they don't actually fit.

I've added a lesson plan to provide a bit more guidance for applying this material, but feel free to adapt and work with it in the way that works best for you.

Best regards.
Kris Mega

This resource may be used as an assessment, or as a review. In the first part, students must identify the parts of a plant and the parts of a flower, the second part consists of multiple choice questions, and finally, on the last part, students must classify food according to the food group to which they belong and nutrients that they contain. On this last part, there might be some foods that could fit more than one space. I counted all of them as correct.

I will also upload a simpler version of this assessment, which you may want to use for your whole class, or you could use it for students with special need (if you have any in your class).

I always ask my students to write sentences with the new vocabulary. It doesn't matter if the sentences are short. They just need to stop feeling afraid of writing. They think is too difficult.
My task is to change their minds. One way to do it is by showing them pictures. They'll have 1 minute to write a sentence (using a timer can make it funnier).
If they don't know how to do it, try giving them examples.
I recommend grouping the pictures by topic: animals, feelings, weather, etc.
The picture is from Kidaha Pixabay
