English learners often confuse used to, be used to and get used to. And that makes a lot of sense! They sound almost exactly the same, after all.

But they actually have very different functions in the English language. So, how do we use them, and what’s the difference? 

I gathered examples of farewells I use with my students. They are all about animals. I say the first part of the sentences and they reply with the animal.

Here's a jigsaw puzzle you can print and previously cut for your students to play and learn at the same time. They can color and relate the pairs before, after or at the same time. 

This is a very fun and simple idea you can use to learn prepositions of place.

I hope it's useful!

I normally use it as a warm up or when I want to catch their attention after a tiring activity.
This one is about colors, animals and weather. First, they have to look at the slide and say the color, not the word. Then they look at the words, close their eyes and say which animal dissapeared. Finally, they have to unscramble the word.
You can also try using riddles, tongue twisters, math challenges, etc.
