This worksheet is focused on categorizing information. It is a short story about children and their favorite school subjects. Encourage your students to tell you how could they categorize the details. I wrote the categories, but you can erase them and ask your students to tell you the answer.

It's great for practising listening comprehension but also to talk about similarities and differences. The story is about a polar bear and a penguin who live on opposite sides of the world. They are different but they also have some things in common...They live in cold places, they are vertebrates... Try to elicit some more answers from your students!
After your students have listened and discussed about the story, they can write some similarities and differences between Alex and Zina. I'd project it on the board and check the answers together. Since there are not so many similarities in the story, your students will have to use their previous knowledge about the animals.

Dolly's Drama Queen Day is a story that talks about a girl who experiences different feelings throughout a day. She gets angry, sad, happy, etc.
Ask your students to identify the feeling and the action that relates to that feeling.
E.g., She cries - She feels sad

This worksheet is focused on main idea and detail. Pipo is a friendly frog who does different things for his friends. He gives them fruits, fresh juice, etc. You can also focus on sounds by practising the -fr blend.

I prepared this worksheet to practise reading comprehension skills. You can either use it as a worksheet or a test. The skill is cause and effect. It is a snowy day...What can the children do? The students have to complete a graphic organizer with the effects of a snowy day.

I'm pretty sure you all know this story: "The Color Monster" by Anna Llenas.
The students can learn vocabulary about emotions but the most important is that they can learn to identify how they feel. Giving a name to their emotions will help them to communicate better.

There is a Fly Guy in my soup! By Tedd Arnold
I really like these book series. They are easy to follow and the pictures are beautiful. This worksheet is about the time Fly Guy jumped into a lady's soup.
First, I focused on the story elements. The students will have to identify: title, author, characters and setting. They will also have to infer the answer to the question nº5: Why do you think Fly Guy didn't have dinner with the family?
Finally, they will have to identify the effect of certain actions.
