Daily Routine's are an excellent moment to build confidence and let our students express themselves a 100% in English. This is why I always use Mind Maps and choose one of my students (the "mini teacher") to guide the routine. 

In this routine students have to present themselves, say how old they are, how are they feeling (emphasis in the vocabulary words wonderful, tired, curious, nervous and sick) and days of the week.

In this routine students have to present themselves, say how old they are, how's the weather like (includes the vocabulary words sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, stormy, snowy and windy) and an invitation to sing the Month's of the Year song.

This is a PowerPoint to teach or practice step by step column addition. It includes addition operations with and without regrouping, and the place value of each digit is shown in each column. It contains 3-digit plus 2-digit additions, and  3-digit plus 3-digit additions.

On second grade, when students learn about human body we use a big skeleton on the Science board as a display, so every time that we learn something new about organs, bones, tendons and muscles we add the description and also the organ or body part to the skeleton. That way students can visually integrate what they are learning and what they have learnt.

For the units of fairy tales in second grade, a good idea is to write a letter to the author of one of your favourite fairy tales. The students need to brainstorm and plan first, then write it, and at the end they can assess themselves.

This activity can be used as enrichment or to expand the topic! Gifted Students might enjoy it!

This is a material that I use as display on my Math bulletin board when we are working with numbers. I have used it in first and second grade. It is very helpful to the students when the don’t know how to say or write a number in English. I am uploading two versions of it.
