Imprime y plastifica esta "waiting room", en cada número pon pinzas de ropa u otro tipo marcadas con el mismo número. De esta forma, cada vez que necesites revisar actividades o resolver consultas individuales puedes darle un turno a tus estudiantes, para trabajar su paciencia y disminuir su ansiedad. Una vez que atiendes a un estudiante, el devuelve el número y continuas la cuenta.

  2. Vocabulary Scavenger Hunt: Organize a treasure hunt in your classroom where students search for vocabulary cards that match definitions or examples you provide.
  3. For Early Finishers: Place the vocabulary cards in a designated area of the class, and allow early finishers to play a quick game like "Matching Pairs" or "Describe and Guess" to review vocabulary while waiting for others.
  4. Science Learning Center: Set up a learning center where students rotate through different games like "Charades" or "Pictionary," using the cards to reinforce key vocabulary. It’s a fantastic way to review terms in small groups.
  5. Whole-Class Activity: Divide students into teams, provide each team with a set of cards, and have them compete in games like "Around the World" or "Target Practice" to see who can master more terms. A competitive and exciting way to review important concepts!
  6. Quick Games at the Start or End of Class: Use games like "Oh No!" or "Inflatable Hammer" at the beginning or end of class for a quick, fun review of vocabulary. Perfect for breaking the ice or reinforcing terms before a test.
  7. Vocabulary Tournament: Organize a weekly game tournament using the cards. Each week, teams compete in different games (like "Cowboys" or "Listen and Choose"), accumulating points. At the end of the month, the team with the most points wins a prize or recognition.

The main objective is to put the words in order to create sentences. It is good when your students just start practising writing. I normally pre-teach some vocabulary and then ask them to do this type of activity.

I always ask my students to write sentences with the new vocabulary. It doesn't matter if the sentences are short. They just need to stop feeling afraid of writing. They think is too difficult.
My task is to change their minds. One way to do it is by showing them pictures. They'll have 1 minute to write a sentence (using a timer can make it funnier).
If they don't know how to do it, try giving them examples.
I recommend grouping the pictures by topic: animals, feelings, weather, etc.

We paste this file on the students table and it helps them when they want to write or said numbers using hundreds, tens and ones. This gives then more autonomy so the teacher doesn’t have to write them every time it is needed.
