Book "Family and Friends 1" Vocabulary unit 10.

In this Power Point you can find shape vocabulary: circle, square, dimond, triangle, rectangle.
Students will be able to use the new vocabulary on and excercise where they must find the shapes used to draw a house. 
At the end you will find an activity where the students need to indentify the shapes on a picture.

This is a very fun game that students enjoy a lot. The main objectives of this game are to remember vocabulary and to build trust (because students speak in English and gain confidence) in an enjoyable way.

To play, the teacher gives to some students one of the flashcards and asks one student to start. The student must say its color or shape and call another one. For example:

This activity was an idea given by the English program AMCO. I have played this game with pre kinders, kinders, first graders and second graders. It was always a success. 

This activity is so much fun! My kids loved it. All you have to do is print the document and start the shape hunt! The idea is to cut out the hand lenses and the white part in the middle, then laminate them so they look like land lenses. You can make two set of hand lenses or more according to how many students you have. I printed and laminated the objects at the end of the document and pasted them around the classroom. Then, the kids have to use their hand lenses to identify what shape is it. You can have them record their hunt to count how many of each shape they found. 

This is a Power Point to work with 3D Shapes. It was used as an introduction activity, after we talked about how everything that sorround us, has a different shape.
After this ppt, we worked with some classroom objects. They had to observe and find any classroom objects that have any of this 3D shapes.

Hola, les comparto una actividad para clasificar los objetos en 3D es una actividad para recortar y pegar, son cuatro figuras geométricas: cono, esfera, cilindro y cubo. Espero les agrade y si es así no olviden darle en el like. 

After the class about shapes, we did a proyect where students had to create a spring poster just with shapes. They had to cut and paste different shapes in order to create their posters.
At the end we share all our posters and indentify the different shapes our classmates used. 
I attached some pictures you can use to give them an example.

Este recurso educativo consiste en flashcards en inglés sobre los colores y figuras cada una con su respectivo nombre en inglés, acompañado de una imagen ilustrativa lo cual permitirá que el niño o estudiante asocie mas significativamente el término del cual se está enseñando. Se sugiere imprimir las tarjetas y usarlas de forma física. Además, de pegar papel contac (papel transparente para forrar) cada tarjeta, con el fin de que les sea mucho más útil el manejarlas.
