Who doesn't love to research?
My students adore it! Planets are a fascinating subject, but it is a lot of information to take in. That is why I created this research activity with my friend Carmen Ortúzar, so students could divide and share their findings.

A good idea is to pair students and let them choose a planet! At the end of the project, you can let them present it to the rest of the class, or only share their information. If they present it, here is a rubric you can use.

This material has been designed for children from 2 years old. It contains a wide variety of graphics and activities, specially designed for them. Its purpose is to allow children to develop their psychomotor skills, while having fun learning.
 

In this edition, children will get to know the solar system and the planets, while they carry out a series of fun activities and exercises.

If you decided to do the research of planets that I shared with you, and then make the students do an oral presentation, this is the rubric you should use!

It is a simple rubric that works with speaking aspects, respect and actual work. You can also use the rubric for other purposes!

Esta guía busca que los estudiantes exploren los planetas del sistema solar mediante una investigación dirigida. A través de preguntas específicas, los estudiantes investigarán las características clave de cada planeta, como su tamaño, distancia al sol, composición y otras particularidades que los hacen únicos. Esta actividad fomenta el aprendizaje activo, la curiosidad científica y el desarrollo de habilidades de investigación.

Objetivos de Aprendizaje:
- Identificar y describir las características principales de cada planeta del sistema solar (tamaño, distancia al sol, composición).

- Comprender las diferencias y similitudes entre los planetas, tanto en términos físicos como de su posición en el sistema solar.

Recurso para utilizar en actividades de science. Recortables y colorable que puedes utilizar para adjuntar el cuaderno o utilizar como flashcards. Contiene los 8 planetas y el sol. Edades esperables: 2 a 9 años.

This file was designed for students to practice divisions, multiplications, subtraction and how to compare and order decimal numbers.

It contains information about the planets, the dwarf planets and the moon. This information is available in two formats:

1. Task cards to be printed and pasted around the room or the space that the teacher wants for the students to collect the information.

2. A document with all the information to give to each one of the students and for them to answer the questions.

It also includes:

Two workshops:

1. A guide for each student to find his/her weight on different planets, dwarf planets and the moon.

2. A workshop with analysis questions.

The teacher can also give the weight of an animal or an object to the students and ask them to find its weight in the different places.

The task cards have information about the planets so they can also be used for the science class.

Although we already know our weight on Earth, information on the planet is included in case the teacher wants to use the cards for a different activity.
