Edson Alves has been teaching K-12 Spanish as a Second Language for over 6 years. He enjoys fashion, yoga, biking, and volleyball. Edson worked in the fashion industry for over 30 years in Brazil and NY before switching careers to Education to what he calls âa more fulfilling careerâ. Edson teaches Spanish using cultural and spoken stimuli following the learning methods: TPR (Total Physical Response), TCI (Teaching with Comprehensive Input), music, art, and Montessori methods. His classes are full of movement, high energy, and fun. Edsonâs goal is to help students ACQUIRE the Spanish language versus simply âlearnâ it so students can actually apply their skills in real life.
