Since the topic about Medieval Times can be very challenging sometimes, I prepared a review class before the test.

Este recurso es un proyecto creativo de investigación. Es ideal para trabajarlo alrededor del 12 de octubre día en que tradicionalmente se celebraba el ”descubrimiento” o la “conquista” de américa y que ahora se celebra la diversidad cultural o cuando enseñamos la historia de la llegada de los europeos a américa. 
La idea surgió al enseñar este tema a mis estudiantes y darme cuenta del uso inadecuado que se le daba a la palabra explorador, denominándose así a los colonizadores. Un explorador o exploradora son personas que descubren un lugar, pero no lo colonizan ni lo destruyen. Así que decidimos investigar sobre verdaderos exploradores. Contiene tres partes: investigación, maqueta y exposición oral.
Encontrarás varias ideas de personas que pueden investigar.
Este proyecto le propone a los estudiantes que realicen una investigación sobre un  explorador de su elección, una maqueta mostrando el lugar que exploró y finalmente una presentación de su aprendizaje.
Para la investigación tienen una guía disponible en PDF para imprimir y en Google Slides por si deseas que el trabajo sea digital. Esta versión en Google Slides también puedes utilizarla como presentación del docente.
  • La investigación es una excelente oportunidad para trabajar con los estudiantes el uso adecuado del internet, cómo discernir qué página es más oportuna utilizar y cómo seleccionar la información más relevante.
  • Realizando la maqueta desarrollan y explorar la creatividad. Es una forma de evaluar también la asimilación del contenido de una forma diferente.
  • En la presentación oral se trabaja la comunicación. Si eres docente de español como segunda lengua, es un gran ejercicio para los estudiantes.
Además incluye carteles con los pasos del proyecto para imprimir y pegarlos en un lugar visible del salón de clase.  Al lado de los pasos sugiero escribir las fechas límite para cada uno. Puedes además utilizar ganchos de madera con el nombre o número de los estudiantes para que lo peguen en el paso que van y puedan monitorear su progreso.
Aquí puedes leer un poco más sobre el aprendizaje basado en proyectos para que puedas guiar a tus estudiantes de una mejor manera en la realización de este proyecto.
